Can ANYONE give me any help or point me in the direction where I can get set up to get an inspection sticker?

Everything on my car works fine...I just have a little "tint" problem that I'm not going to pay $150+ to get it removed...It's not even dark, you can still see in it, and it's damn hot out and tint helps keep it a little bit more cool, especially when my AC is still shot and having to be fixed.

I have 20% and a limo strip in front.

I don't get how tint shops can do that to cars if it's illegal, shouldn't that be illegal? I think so. Fuckers.

this doesn't belong in here.. but i can tell you right now YOU WILL NOT be getting an inspection sticker in the state of mississippi unless your tint passes the 35% light requirement.

The reason why its happening is back in July 2005 the state passed a new LAW which required ALL inspection stations to buy a device to test the tent content, and by law they are not allowed to issue an inspection sticker if you're under the 35% legal limit.

Those stations that did not buy the device lost their privilege of vehicle inspections.

you have 3 choices....

1. LEAVE THE STATE to a state that isn't as strict as MS has become.
2. STRIP OFF ALL OF YOUR TINT, and either replace with 35% or more.
3. Do nothing and risk getting a $500.00 citation for expired inspection sicker.

i ended up paying 100 buck to get mine stripped, pissed me off too. but there wa not much choice, and if your car fails the test wit hs sticker, that place is heavily fined for doing it. That is why most stopped doing the inspections, very few left on coast becasue of that reason.
